Marineland, on the plain between Antibes and Biot, is the answer most families reach for — a large marine park with an aquarium tunnel, penguins and daily shows, sitting beside the Aquasplash water park and Adventure Golf. The Journey with Children

Your driver takes the coastal road or the A8 west to the Antibes exit and drops you at the park gates. Twenty minutes, door to door, with the buggy in the boot and the bags where you can reach them. On the way back, everyone is tired, damp and carrying more than they left with — which is precisely when a waiting car beats a bus stop and a change of line.

Child and booster seats are provided free, but they need to be requested in advance so the right sizes are fitted before we arrive. Tell us the ages when you book. For groups of five or more, one V-Class carries the whole family together rather than splitting you across two taxis, and there is genuine room for the inflatables that always come home from Aquasplash.
