Nice Carnival & Menton Lemon Festival Transfer | Private Driver

Every February the Riviera puts on its most colourful show. The Nice Carnival fills Place Masséna with parades, flower battles and illuminated evening corsos, while about 35 minutes along the coast the Menton Lemon Festival turns the seafront into a gallery of giant citrus-covered floats. In 2027 the two overlap until 28 February, so you can see both — but only if the logistics work. Parades close streets, evening corsos end late and the coastal road backs up. A private driver turns it into a simple plan: door to door, a car waiting after the show, and no hunt for parking in either town.

Two Festivals, One February

The Carnaval de Nice is the biggest winter event on the Côte d’Azur. The 2027 edition, themed “Vive l’Amour”, runs from 9 to 28 February and is centred on Place Masséna, with afternoon flower battles and illuminated evening corsos that begin around 8.30 pm. The Fête du Citron in Menton is now in its 93rd edition and runs from mid-February to 28 February 2027: the daytime Corso des Fruits d’Or takes place on the Promenade du Soleil on Sundays, night corsos run on selected evenings, and the citrus sculptures fill the Jardins Biovès. The festival attracts more than 200,000 visitors every year.

Programmes can change, so check the official schedules before you book — we plan the transfer around whatever you decide to see.

How Festival Transfers Work

Festival days change how the Riviera moves. Around parade times, streets near Place Masséna and the Promenade des Anglais are restricted, and Menton’s seafront is closed to traffic for the corso. The coastal Basse Corniche between Nice and Menton is busy at the best of times; on festival Sundays it slows right down. Our drivers know the alternatives — the Moyenne Corniche above the coast, the right moment to leave, and the nearest practical drop-off to the grandstands — and plan your pickup around the end of the show, not the start.

For an evening corso in Nice the usual plan is simple: dinner in town, the parade, and your driver waiting a short walk from the exit for the ride back to your hotel, the airport or another town. For Menton, many guests see the Sunday corso in the afternoon and continue to Monaco or across the border afterwards.

Festival Itineraries

🎭 Nice Carnival Day

An afternoon flower battle or the evening illuminated corso at Place Masséna, with a driver to take you back to your hotel afterwards. Easy to combine with a carnival-weekend arrival at Nice Airport.

🍋 Menton Lemon Festival

The Sunday corso on the Promenade du Soleil, then the citrus sculptures in the Jardins Biovès. See Nice → Menton for the route and timings.

🗓️ Both Festivals in One Weekend

Nice and Menton are about 35 minutes apart. We build the schedule around parade times — for example a Saturday in Nice and a Sunday corso in Menton — with day hire if you want one driver throughout.

🇮🇹 Add the Italian Side

Menton is only 5 km from Ventimiglia, whose Friday market is a favourite add-on. Cross-border travel is available, or continue along the coast to Monaco.
